Here’s a great new move I came up with to add to your back routine!!!

 

It is similar to a barbell back raise but hits further down the lats, deeper into the rhomboids and further up the rear delts!!!  It’s also similar to a T-bar row in reverse, hitting the targets similarly without the equipment set up or the damaging potential.  J has added a slight shrug to include the traps!!!!

Using a selectorized bicep curl machine, stand in front with heels against the bottom rail. 

 

With the handles forward grasp in an underhand grip and lean forward at an angle.

 

Now lift, using the lats and bringing the shoulder blades together.

 

Set the weight light and use high reps for starters.  Increase when you are comfortable with the exercise.

 

Don’t forget, abs are tight, soft knees and elbows—never lock out your joints!
