Food for Fuel

Protein helps your body repair—make lean choices - fish,            white meat skinless poultry, egg whites.

Complex carbohydrates gives you energy, not just working            out but for all you do—brown rice, whole grains, potatoes            and sweet potatoes - Easy on the condiments!

Cut back on processed foods -  have an apple instead of            applesauce or apple juice - use fresh vegetables over            canned.

Keep your body fueled and insulin steady by eating small            meals two to three hours throughout the day instead of            having three large meals.

Don’t skip breakfast!  Doughnuts don’t count.

Use fat free or low fat dairy products and add healthy fats            like almonds.

Keeping your eating sensible will show quickly in your            energy levels as well as you body composition.
